Another Monday Morning and my phone is not Ringing.

My Monday started out quite interesting as I was dropping off an offer to an agent. They were sitting at the front desk but asked me to hold on as they were finishing their game. WHAT? I was thinking, game, what game? You are at your reception desk where people walk in.... Wait hold on as my phone rings. I stepped to the far corner and answered it, it was a customer confirming our 1130am appointment. I head over to their desk to look at the screen to see what they are doing, yep playing an online game. RING RING as i step back to my corner to answer. It is an asset manager asking if I want a new listing in the next town over, absolutely is my reply as I jot down the address.

As i head back to the desk they say, "My office phone has not rung yet today." They continue with, "Things are pretty slow heh?" I replied actually NO, things are very busy. They replied with "That can not be so, Mondays are supposed to be the busiest day  in Real Estate and we have no business." I replied with well that is why I am here, I left a message I was bringing by an offer this morning. "Oh Sorry i came in and started playing this game and have not listened to the messages yet." UGGHHH i thought.... oh wait my phone is ringing again. Excuse me as i am back to my corner to write down the counter offer on another sale. Well back to the desk as I start telling them about my offer, "oh just leave it" as i get interupted "I'll get to it later and call you."

If I was smart I would have picked it up and warned my buyer of the challenge that we may face if this offer does accepted. Do they not realize you get out of Real Estate what you put into it? Playing games on your computer is not making you any mor eexpereinced in Real Estate sales unless maybe you are playing Tiny Tower.

When a client hears that all Real Estate Agents are not created equal, this shows that they are not, You can have a big office, a big national name but you are only as good as the effort you put into your work. I work hard for what I have and work hard to make my clients happy. I can not fathom ignoring work for a game and then complaining I am not busy. No wonder....

It does not take magic to turn your "For Sale" sign into a "Sold" sign. it takes a full time Local Agent who specializes in Listing homes like yours.
